As the title suggests, this CD showcases the top female artists in twelve exclusive tracks by twelve DJ/producer/vocalists, with styles ranging from energetic trance, circuit and progressive house to breaks and drum ‘n’ bass. My favorite is surprizingly by a newcomer to the dance music scene, Andrea Burns with her ethereal “100 Stories”. If you like strong female vocals like I do, you'll find this a treat as Colette, Jes (from Motorcycle), Jan Johnston, DJ Keri, Angelique, Mea, and a PON remix of one of our all-time favs “I Found U” by Interstate with vocals by Colleen Kelly, which was on Paul Oakenfold’s Grammy-nominated Creamfields album. This set also boasts exclusive remixes by Noel Sanger, Interstate and Black Liquid.
Thankfully, they knew better than to try and mix all these styles continuously. The tracks have all been edited down to the radio-familar length of 4-5 minutes, and the results are "just right."-- review by Claire Maxwell
