STERIL - 400 YEARS OF ELECTRONIC MUSIC (ARTOFFACT) |
| |

To start with: A subdued version of trance hook
mingles with an also-subdued take on aggro-industrial,
along with some clubby pulse (again, somehow subtle)
for a sound that's a hair outside the traditional due
to the combination, though none of the individual
elements can claim much in the way of originality.
Steril (for the first little bit, one finds irony in
the name given the slightly compressed production) ups
the ante a bit with the sudden addition of industrial
guitar, brining the music closer to the fence between
electro-industrial and industrial metal, though the
electro seems to be the dominant aspect. Fans of
aggro-industrial imbued with club-friendliness will
enjoy.-- review by Kristofer Upjohn
