ULTIMATE 70s DISCO DANCE MEGA MIX (TOUCAN COVE/RENEGADE)

This is actually one of those CDs it's easy to recommend or not recommend for readers. Because, quite simply, it comes all the way down to this beautiful simplicity: Do you like 70s disco at its kitschy peak? Then you should groove yourself silly on this. Hate disco? Swear it's deader than dead (where have I heard that line before ...?). Then steer well clear of the compilation up for discussion herein. Personallly, I think this kind of music is absolute bubblegum drivel... but from "Get Up & Boogie" to "Night Fever," "Car Wash," and of course "Boogie Oogie Oogie" it's a lot of fun, a whole boogie-load of fun! Master Chris' mixing is nice because it allows the tunes to maintain a great deal of their original personality but it also flows quickly (sometimes startlingly so) from track to track, churning out high dance energy all the time. Essentially what you've got here is club/house trackage that reaches back to the excess of a few decades ago to supplie its tunage. Which brings me back to the beginning.
