"The Dawnseeker" by Sleepthief is a gentle, lulling
journey that speaks to the heart. It calls to mind
wistfulness, love, loneliness, loved ones far away,
the mists of a land of fantasy, melancholia, joy,
beauty ... in short, it's evocative music. "The
Dawnseeker" is a solid entry in the vocal chillout
arena. It's textures are lush, layering together both
organic and electronic elements. Cool beats and
electronic melodies mingle with acoustic flavors to
create eminently listenable music. Topping the audio
picture are the charmingly unassuming but quite
talented female vocals. Not always one who appreciates
the vocal element in electronica, I have to say that
here it is a vital part of the equation, a necessary
instrument, if you will. All of these wonderful
elements blend together into a blissful caress of
