Motor's industrial-electro (as opposed to electro-industrial) on "Klunk" is minimalist but big and bracing. Acidy, dirty electro beats pound through each track, polished to utilitarian sheen then run through a fistful of fuzz and layered in with some dark, daunting melodies. The music is ominous and aggressive in personality and also highly addictive. Cranked out in the environs of an all-night dance club, this would keep people moving as they became swept away in the strength and groove of Motor's edgy, creative electro stylings. Darkness pulsating, the spirit of machine come to life, pounding and alive, "Klunk" is a straight shot into the veins. You will be incorporated into that which is "Klunk"; there is no other choice. Despite - rather, because of - it's bare-boned quality, this electronic songcraft works wonders. Each layer is reduced to bareness, but this serves only to strengthen the songpower, to heighten the mood. This is as hooky as trance, captivating and engaging. -- review by Kristofer Upjohn
