"Klang Der Unsterblichkeit", which we shall call "Klang" for short, is an EP release from Massiv in Mensch which shows them delivering their minimalist yet full bodied aggro-industrial attack that utilizes dark industrial melodies and high electro energy. With an assertive title track and a remix of said track by The Promise (which brings tweaks the mix around and gives it a robust psytrance edge), you're already off to a great start with the first two numbers on the disc. Following up is a remix of "Around My Heart," which gives the listener a slab of heavily trance/club-imbued industrial and helps keep the dynamics, er, mixed up! Yeah, that's it. A re-edit of "Morsch" comes on the heels of that one and shifts into dark, uberGermanic aggro-industrial grimness. "Secret Side" is up next and returns to a aura of lush beauty. Finally, a live version of "Your'e the Greatest Lover" hits with a infectiously textured cut of odd juxtaposition that fuses stark industrial spartanness with lyrics that speak of love.-- review by Kristofer Upjohn
