More deliriously smooth flavors from Radical House Records and California producer collective The Warheads. I could give up whiskey for this. Yes, it's that intoxicating. This is what music is all about. A near-perfect fusion of downtempo, dub, jazz, retro, blues, soul and more, all smashed together in a genius greater-than-the-sum-of-its-parts conglomerate that is ... well, dammit, it's music to my ears. As with The Warheads' project "Funk 'n Gandhi", I just find myself at a loss to put in words the magic these people weave. If you want music that will leave you helpless, sated and completely absorbed by top shelf artistry, then you need look no farther than "Bandit Queen." These are artists completely in control of their skills and "Bandit Queen," along with "Funk 'n Gandhi," are - and I say this even this early in the year - shaping up to be among the top releases of 2007.-- review by Kristofer Upjohn
