Farina, who has become synonymous with San Francisco-based OM through
his legendary Mushroom Jazz series, has finally put together his edition
of the label’s signature House of OM series. For many, Farina’s
installment has been a long-time coming and is definitely worth the
wait. Farina does not disappoint by displaying a track selection that
defines what is soulful house music, a groovy bass line, soft
percussion, and amazing flow. House of OM is rich with tracks from such
heavyweights as Kerri Chandler, King Kooba, as well as Farina’s
inclusion of his own “Cosmic Melody”. In a genre that has had an
amazing number of cats trying to get others to get their groove on with
varying degrees of success, Farina has become like that great glass of
wine. Smooth, sweet, and perfect for almost any occasion. Farina has
outlasted them all and done so in a way that represents his ability to
