A tasty and sometimes subtle blend of disco-house and world music, Kiko Navarra shows 'em how house is done right on "Perceptions of Pacha." The title is a reference to the nightclub Pacha at which Kiko is one of the house DJs. Navarro has a radio show called "Perceptions," which plays on Ibiza Global Radio. Kiko Navarro on "Perceptions of Pacha" puts together a slab of house music that's actually catchy and flavorful (moreso than I generally find the genre to be). Blending some finger lickin' good funk flavors and world influences (such as tribal and bossa nova), this disc is a totally praise-worthy batch of dance tracks that are suitable for the dance floor as well as the armchair raver who just wants some good music. -- review by Kristofer Upjohn
