If you don't already like breaks, DJ Icey might just make you reconsider. It's not a genre I've paid a whole lot of attention to, but I must say, DJ Icey delivers. Ah, the colors! Such aural brightness flows from the assertive, multi-textured grooves. Hooks come flying out of the speakers at you right from the onset (not literally - that would be frightening and I'd start looking for Pinhead!). It sinks its claws in (again, not literally) and pulls you along on a groove-laden ride. Buzzing sound colors fill your "vision" as DJ Icey keeps the ante upped with his knowledge of beats and melodies and how they interact. -- review by Kristofer Upjohn
