George Acosta has handed down one of the best trance CDs to stimulate my consciousness in a while. While maintaining his pattern of creating forward-thinking trance, shaping the genre as he goes with his originality and musical instincts, Acosta also reached into the fine traditions of trance music and has delivered the epic goods. While definitely an evolution of today, Acosta is nonetheless heard here building on the blocks of classic uplifting trance. Aerial melodies carry the listener into soaring bliss - and you don't have to wait for the goods. Acosta wastes no time, diving right into epic flavors and robust melodies. From the get-go, "A State of Mind" has your attention, love and respect. The production is also noteworthy, full-bodied, lush and rich. It's a solid sound, with no gaps.
