Ambiance is the pervading aesthetic here. But by that I don't mean new age pap. Nor do I mean nothing but tracks of one note elongated across half the song. I mean ambiance. There is music here. And there is ambient noise. But neither rules the roost. They share duties in helping to call to the listener with a song of the sirens. Sometimes absolute bliss is achieved. Sometimes a quirky sense of humor strikes from left field - but in a darkish kind of way. Sometimes surprisingly traditional music fills your ears. And sometimes the music gets a bit jagged. But it's an evolving journey and one set half in this universe, half in another.-- review by Kristofer Upjohn
