READY FIRE AIM - THIS CHANGES NOTHING (EXPANSION TEAM)

When Sage Rader and DJ and producer Stakka get together, what happens? In this case, it's Ready Aim Fire, whose debut disc "This Changes Nothing" gives you a look into what it's doing. The synth-rock and synth pop on hand here mingles a variety of things. On the more rock side you can hear the thrust of guitar meet up with dance hall grooves. Pop also has something to say here. But whatever blend is in your ears at the moment, you can count on melody, the ability to dance and a bit of organic grounding to help muscle up the electronic side of things. It's a fairly robust sound and fans of old school new wave and modern synth pop alike - and those who just wanna bust a move on the dance floor - should all find something agreeable here.-- review by Kristofer Upjohn
