Evol Intent accumulates a small diversity of electronica influences - not to mention a dash of hip-hop - and mashes it together into this surprising and ever-shifting grouping of tracks that swirl through an array of sounds. Drum-n-bass can be heard giving way to glitch. Ambient flavors surface; downtempo arises. Bursts of curious, heady electronica assails you. It's a strange and oft experimental - and most certainly eclectic - soundscape that unfolds across the numerous tracks on "Era of Diversion." It's a big, interesting way to grab someone's attention for the spreading of a political message. While that aspect of the music doesn't occupy a whole lot of the running time, the hip-hop's social commentary makes for sharp punctuations.-- review by Kristofer Upjohn
