These are the kinds of sounds I remember from the glory days of trance. Ethereal melodies focused into full body manifestations and sizeable grooves growing from big thumpy pulsations. Voices whose sources are no doubt as gorgeous as the sounds coming out of their throats. Richness, reaching for the sky. There was always something transcendent about the big sounds of trance's former styles. It just doesn't sound as much like this any more. I know, things change. But it doesn't mean I'm not happy to rediscover the kind of music that got me into electronica to begin with. Uplift to transcendence! Some of the music here speaks to the deep inside and points to the way up above. It's like a new spiritual paradigm if a new spiritual paradigm were the sounds of dance music. This is damn near inspirational. And the two chillout numbers that close the album are perfect, absorbing tracks to seal shut the beautiful secrets of Solarstone.-- review by Kristofer Upjohn
