I promise not to harp on this too much (shoot me!) but Peter Sterling makes great use of his string-stroking abilities here. The vibrations that are sent out by his manipulation of the harp conjures a wonderful mood of well-being and a luxurious bath of melodies in which to get all wrinkled and relaxed. Lush - damn the word, it doesn't stay away long for this poor reviewer (I'm either lazy or it's too convenient an adjective) ... OK, I'll start that sentence over. Lushness fills out the sounds of this upbeat mood-wise but downtempo otherwise CD. "The Sands of Time" is an offering to sultans of string who wish to wallow in a classic instrument played with classic talent and forward-thinking ability.-- review by Kristofer Upjohn
