DAVE AUDE "AUDACIOUS" (AUDACIOUS RECORDS) |
| |

The old man on "The Family Guy" may be after the muscly-armed paper boy but we are after the big muscly beats. Gross analogy, perhaps, but whatever. The point is, the sound on "2Audacious" has got mondo cojones. It's also got tons of buzz (the music-in-your-ears is the kind of buzz to which I prefer, which isn't to say this doesn't deserve the spread-the-word kinda buzz, as well). Toss a little electro speakerfuzz sizzle onto some tendon-flexing house and add loads of personality and texture upon texture and you've got a robust, gritty yet sleek, huge-sounding, ramped-up fix of invigoration. Electrifying to the touch, this one will set off lights in your head and raise the hairs on your arm. It's got a jolt, for a fact! One huge pump of finger-in-a-socket drawn across ten tracks of Musical Bodyvibe Doing That Capt. Decker/Ilia/Vger Fusion Thing With Mindtrip Dance Aesthetics ... it's a blowout, in a totally hot, good way.-- review by Kristofer Upjohn
