COMBICHRIST "MAKING MONSTERS" (METROPOLIS)

You could say that the name "Making Monsters" is a description of what it was like to write and record this behemoth of an electro-industrial album. Combichrist has cranked out a megabeast with mega beats, massive bad attitude, roaring vocals, incredible and room-filling electronic melodies and all the in-your-face aggro approach of metal while being pure to the core electro-industrial. Make no mistakes, this is aggressive as hell and will roll right over you, like it or not. Electro-industrial already has a big shadow, anyway, and this is definitely toward the dark end of the genre. It's also some of the meatiest industrial of the electronic variety you're apt get your head split open with. So get ready to take a sledgehammer to the head. You'll be glad you did.-- review by Kristofer Upjohn
