BEE VS. MOTH "ACRONYMS" (AGGRAVEIRE MUSIC)

Bee Vs. Moth is a brain jam head trip sick joy ride through jazz. Avante but accessible (if you dig jazz and creative, textured music in general), "Acronyms" delivers a hard-punch yet semi-chillerific and way psyche-bike twisting through jazz based and a tad fusiony territory. Lots of horn; percussion a given; even some guitar. It unfolds like random fractals, like audio paisley with controlled chaos theory. Rude yet smooth; an eye-opener even for jazz folks who think they've heard the genre to its heart. That's the thing about jazz. It's always got someplace new to go with the right folks driving the bus - and there's no doubt this crew of musical misfit genius genii are the right mofos for the job.-- review by Kristofer Upjohn
