On Tuesday, March 9th, 2004, Miami Beach
Florida will once again explode with another
over-the-top celebrity-studded awards
ceremony for the DanceStar USA 2004 Awards.
Last year we were on the red carpet with
our cameras capturing the entire spectacle
both for our Raves.com coverage [click
here to see last year's DanceStar preview
and interview with host Roger Sanchez]
as well as for part of our upcoming documentary-style
film, PEACE, LOVE & BEATS. This year
we'll be on the other side of the ropes!
We'd like to thank....
Even if we don't win the Best Website
Award, we'd like to say THANKS to everyone
that's made it possible for Raves.com
to get nominated! Consider this our nomination
acceptance speech :) First, thanks to
YOU our Raves.com audience!! From your
posting on the message boards, letting
us know about events, submitting event
reviews and Scenebuilders profiles, to
all the other ways you make this online
community strong. Without you, we wouldn't
be here doing what we do! Thanks of course
to our incredible staff of writers, reviewers,
reporters and contributors from the past
year: Annalee Stone, Shawn Wallace, Jules
Mari, Kristofer Upjohn, Carl Noone Jr.,
Ursula Williams and Yuri Wuensch. To all
the artists, DJs, and industry folk for
their time and support - and for making
the music that is the soundtrack to our
website and our lives! And a huge thank
you to our founder and owner Gavin Lloyd,
for making Raves.com possible.
