For a band that wasn't even a band when they first recorded "Days Go By," the three members - Steve Smith, Paul Harris and Ben Harris - certainly put up a united front. Now, they return to their DJ roots with their latest release "A Night At The Tables" under a slightly modified moniker, Dirty Vegas Sound System.

DJ roots? That's right, Paul Harris has been a respected London club DJ since the early '90s when acid house exploded. He gained a residency at the seminal Milk Bar, eventually landing gigs at legendary superclubs like Ministry of Sound and Cream. Steve Smith, a trained songwriter and percussionist, also worked in the same club circuit, while Ben Harris is former member of the successful house duo Bullitt. It was actually this shared love of club music that originally brought the three together to record a track - the infamous "Days Go By."

"Night At The Tables shows another side to us," explains Steve Smith. "People heard our band album and were listening to music performed in a traditional band set up me on vocals, Paul on keys, Ben on guitar. This album shows people that Dirty Vegas has a different edge, one you¹d only know about if you've heard our live DJ Soundsystem set up in a club environment. We all have a long history in dance music and clubs; and on this album we reflect on that background, which has helped shape our music so far, and at the same time we get to play some of our favorite tunes."
