Despite their crazy schedules, stressful deadlines a bad cough and a need for sleep, Gabriel and Dresden were kind enough to catch up with Raves.com reporter Annalee while in Miami for the Winter Music Conference. On the rooftop deck of the luxurious Sagamore Hotel overlooking the beautiful clear waters of Miami Beach, the two sat down for a few minutes to give us a glimpse of the life and times G&D.

Probably two of the most involved and talented artists in the scene, Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden AKA: Gabriel & Dresden have, between the two of them, a plethora of achievements, acknowledgements, and milestones in their lengthy careers. Working with and remixing for musical artists such as Paul Oakenfold, New Order, Way out West, Jewel, Pete Lorimer and Pablo la Rosa, the duo has had no problem making a name for themselves on the dance music circuit, but that doesn't even begin to touch what these two have accomplished.

Dave Dresden has called himself a "Music Junkie" numerous times in his 15 years of mixing and producing tracks. He got started mixing tracks back in high school, after befriending a relatively unknown DJ named Moby, who was kind enough to lend him a helping hand. But if you think that mixing and producing is where Dave's ambitions began to fade, your dead wrong. Dave has also made a name for himself in the competitive field of journalism. As the Billboard Dance Music Chart named Dresden a reporter, and he also began to write reviews for magazines such as Mixer, DMA and DJ TIMES. During this time, Dave wrote reviews of talent such as Paul Oakenfold, Deep Dish, Puff Daddy, Josh Wink, and the Chemical Brothers. But all that just wasn't enough for this musical mastermind. Dresden went on into the field of A&R, he assists in scouting new music for Pete Tong's "Essential Selection" radio show on the BBC radio 1, and he has had his hand in selecting songs for numerous compilation CD's. On top of all that, Dave was also an on air personality from 1997-2000 for Connecticut's "Electro Circus, as well as musical director and on-air personality for GrooveRadio (2000). Whew!

Then there is Josh Gabriel. In his early thirties, Josh has been making music with his computer ever since the 80's. Josh's progressive track, "Wave3" has been widely praised in the dance music world ever since it first debuted. Educated with an undergraduate degree from the prestigious California Institute of the Arts, along with oversea studies at the Institute of Sonology in Den Hague, The Netherlands, Gabriel didn't JUST want to make music, he wanted to do it all, and he has. As the co-founder of Mixman Technologies Remixing Software, he has been the responsible force behind all the creative and technical direction for nearly a decade of the products existence. Josh has also worked on many large-scale creative ventures, for example; he was the mastering engineer for Walt Disney's animated motion picture, "Aladdin" as well as being a training engineer for Sonic Solutions Editing Systems at Walt Disney, Warner Brothers Films and Sony Music. It is obvious that Gabriel has had a passion for the arts from early on, and has gone on to be extremely successful in all his creative projects.
