DJ Colette is known all over the world for her amazing style of DJing, a mixture of her beautiful live vocals belended perfectly with the records she's playing, as well as her music production skills. Her highly anticipated new album, Hypnotized is being released June 7th nationwide. You can read more about her album, supporting tour and Ibiza residency below.

As busy as Colette is she still found the time to let us ask her a few questions for a video interview! We discuss her new album, her hectic schedule, and her advice for all the bedroom DJ's out there dreaming of making it big!

Colette was introduced to the seductive sounds of House Music while growing up in Chicago, and at the tender age of 16 she began to sing over her friends tracks at loft parties and fell in love. She quickly realized that spinning her own tracks would allow for more creative freedom and thus her sucessful career began. Colette has taken classical vocal training for over 9 years to enhance her singing and perfect her craft. In 2003, she had the honor of winning "Best Breakthrough DJ" at the Dancestar Awards in Miami.

Now living in Los Angeles, Colette's career is on the fast track. Starring last year in a Motorola commercial, more and more opportunities are knocking at her door. Her long awaited new album, Hypnotized is being released June 7th nationwide. Hypnotized took her 5 years to create, a process that took much longer than she had anticipated. For Colette, the process of perfecting the album was a time consuming endeavor, further complicated by her busy touring schedule. Colette took her time to discover the proper direction for her new album, which has a lot of down-tempo tracks; a bit different than her live sets, which are usually faster and more suited to the dancefloor. But she wanted to do something different, something she has wanted to do for a long time coming, and taking her time in doing so has lent to the fabulous creation of Hypnotized.

Hypnotized is an amazing album full of DJ Colette at her very best. Her etheral voice and down-tempo tracks will captivate you and keep you grooving all the while. The first single "Feelin' Hypnotized" was released last month and has already seen major success. The 12" single includes remixes by Kaskade, Gene Farris, Jason Hodges and many other talented musicians. The "Black Liquid" remix was picked up for another album project, Femmes Fatales a compilation of tracks performed by 10 of the best female DJ's in the industry. The second single, "What Will She Do For Love" is slated for release this month and will no doubt grab a lot of attention from her fans.

Following the release of Hypnotized DJ Colette will be hitting the road, taking her latest release on tour. And of course, she will be performing her singles live! But Colette isnt stopping there! This summer OM Records is starting a new residency every Wednesday night in Ibiza, at El Divino. Colette and other OM artists will be performing there all summer long.
