ULTRA-FI Track Reviews
Vinyl, CD singles, MP3s... the format doesn't matter, it's the quality
of the music and how it moves my dance floor that determines if these
singles make the ULTRA-FI cut. We'll have new ones posted every week
or so, plus chcek out the archives for all our past spins. -- Isaiah

Beautiful Things
Gabriel & Dresden Unplugged Mix
Andain Gabriel & Dresden
Black Hole Recordings
Chill House
* * * * *
Another amazing production from the duo of Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden.
This mix is a chill, laid back version which really lets Andain’s
voice shine as she melodically weaves in and out of an undeniable bassline.
G&D continue to set the bar for production value with an absolute
mastery of crispness and cleanliness across frequencies. Listen to any
of their mixes on an amazing sound system and you are reminded why it’s
so cool to have an amazing sound system.
La Noche
D-Formation BF's Remix
Coca & Villa D-Formation
Beat Freak
House
* * * *
La Noche is one of those perfect breather tracks following a crusher
for a main room set. It has a nice tribal pace and keep driving right
up to a beautiful acoustic guitar breakdown that sounds phenomenal in
a big cavernous room like Avalon Hollywood.
Days Of Swine & Roses
D:Fuse & Hiratzka Mix
My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult
Red Ant Records
Progressive House
* * * * *
Yup, That’s right...D:Fuse teamed up with Mike Hiratzka to bring
you a fresh new take on the “Kult” classic “Days of
Swine and Roses”. No disappointments here as dirty guitar synths
and driving progressive beats definitely do the original justice. D:Fuse
gives it that “Live” feel by laying down his signature percussion
moves through the last half of the track. Great Mix!
